Gaziantep Teknopark was established on the campus of Gaziantep University. Its goal is to transform the knowledge of the university into technology and production. Since 2008, it has continued to contribute to the development of our country in the field of high technology by bringing together Gaziantep University, Gaziantep industry, and entrepreneurs. Gaziantep Teknopark combines the advantage of being on a university campus with concrete incentives.
What is a Technopark and What are its Functions?
A technopark is a special zone where universities, industry, and government institutions work together. They are specialized technology areas where innovation activities are carried out by bringing universities, R&D centers, and industrial organizations together in joint projects. High-technology focused R&D, software, and design projects are developed in technoparks. Technoparks in Turkey are regulated by Law No. 4691 on Technology Development Zones. The purpose of these zones is to convert academic knowledge and industrial production know-how into commercial value and contribute to the commercialization of products and services.

The official name of the company is Gaziantep Technology Development Zone Founder and Operator Inc. The establishment decision was published in the Official Gazette on May 9, 2006, and the company was registered on January 12, 2007. Under Law No. 4691, operations commenced in October 2008 under the name "Gaziantep Teknopark".
